Empower Allergy: My mission

My name is Lena James and I am a nurse practitioner with qualifications allergy, eczema and emergency nursing. I live with a food allergy and my youngest daughter has experienced anaphylaxis to bee stings.

I would describe myself as compassionate, intuitive and holistic focused towards others, my community and myself. I have always strived to serve others and ensure that the right steps are taken to meet their needs and optimise their potential. My nursing ability has been greatly enhanced by personal attributes and continues to flourish as I learn more about people, illness, health and how I can better influence positive health outcomes.

Allergy and Eczema nursing is my greatest passion and I aim to be influential as as a Nurse Practitioner. I am excited by the prospect of furthering my nursing ability, thereby broadening my experience and knowledge It gives the greatest pride both personally and professionally to effect such positive and long-term effects in my patients.

 I am highly motivated, passionate and committed to the world of allergy and eczema; I foresee and plan a great opportunity to benchmark excellent and evidenced based care of patients. My visions and goals pertain to establishing nurse practitioner led services in both the public and private sectors; and to be active in education, promotion and translation of allergy to achieve and communicate better allergic care, understanding, collaboration between patients, practitioners and stakeholders.
